Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

These terms are written in plain English. By subscribing to a WPValet care plan, you agree to these terms. If anything is unclear, just email us — we’d rather explain it than have you confused about what you signed up for.

1. The service

WPValet provides monthly WordPress care plans for business owners. Depending on the plan you choose (Care, Guard, or Partner), your plan includes a combination of weekly updates, daily backups, uptime monitoring, security scanning, performance checks, edit requests, and a monthly activity report.

The specific features included in each plan are listed on our pricing page at wpvalet.co. By subscribing, you confirm that you have read and understood what is included in your chosen plan.

2. What we need from you

To deliver your care plan, we require:

  • WordPress administrator access to your site
  • Hosting or cPanel access where relevant
  • A valid email address to receive monthly reports and communicate with our team

You agree that by sharing these credentials with us, you authorise us to perform the work included in your plan. We will store all credentials securely and will not use your access for any purpose outside of your care plan.

If you are unable to provide the access we need, we reserve the right to pause your plan until access is provided. Billing continues during any such pause.

3. Edit requests

Each plan includes a set number of edit requests per billing cycle:

  • Care — 2 requests per month
  • Guard — 4 requests per month
  • Partner — 8 requests per month

An edit request covers small, straightforward changes — updating text, swapping an image, fixing a broken link, or adding a menu item. Any task estimated to take more than 30 minutes, or involving new features, page redesigns, or custom development, falls outside the scope of an edit request and will be quoted separately before any work begins.

We will always tell you before starting any out-of-scope work and will not proceed without your approval. Unused requests do not roll over to the following month.

Extra requests beyond your monthly quota are available at the rates listed on our pricing page. We will notify you before billing any extra request charges.

4. Billing and payment

Care plans are billed monthly on a recurring basis via Stripe. Your billing date is set when you first subscribe and remains the same each month.

  • Payment is due at the start of each billing cycle
  • If a payment fails, Stripe will automatically retry. If payment cannot be collected after reasonable retries, we reserve the right to pause your plan
  • We do not store your card details — all payment data is handled by Stripe
  • Prices are listed in USD. You are responsible for any currency conversion fees charged by your bank

We reserve the right to update our pricing with 30 days’ notice. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before the new price takes effect.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel your plan at any time — no questions asked, no cancellation fees. To cancel, email us at care@wpvalet.co before your next billing date.

  • Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period
  • We do not offer refunds for partial months
  • After cancellation, we will remove your credentials from our systems within 30 days

We reserve the right to cancel your plan if you breach these terms, fail to provide necessary access, or if your site poses a security risk to our systems. In such cases, we will notify you by email and issue a prorated refund for the unused portion of your billing period.

6. What we are responsible for

We take our work seriously and stand behind it:

  • If an update we apply causes your site to break, we will restore it from backup at no additional cost
  • We maintain daily backups with a 30-day retention period for all plans
  • We monitor uptime and will act promptly if your site goes down
  • We will notify you of any security issues we discover during our regular checks

7. What we are not responsible for

There are some things outside our control:

  • Pre-existing issues — we are not responsible for problems that existed before your plan started. If we discover issues during onboarding, we will flag them and quote separately to resolve them
  • Third-party plugins and themes — we apply updates as provided by plugin and theme developers. We are not responsible for bugs introduced by third-party code
  • Hosting issues — downtime caused by your hosting provider is outside our control. We will notify you and advise, but we cannot fix issues at the hosting infrastructure level
  • Your own changes — if you or another party makes changes to your site outside of our care plan that cause issues, we will assist but may charge for the time spent resolving them
  • Loss of business — we are not liable for lost revenue, lost customers, or any indirect losses arising from site downtime or technical issues, even if we were involved in the work

Our total liability to you in any circumstance is limited to the amount you paid us in the most recent billing period.

8. Your responsibilities

By subscribing to a care plan, you confirm that:

  • You own or have authority to manage the WordPress site you are enrolling
  • You will not use our service for any unlawful purpose
  • You will not ask us to make changes that violate any applicable laws or third-party rights
  • You will maintain a valid payment method on file
  • You will respond to our communications within a reasonable time, particularly when we need your approval before proceeding with work

9. Confidentiality

We treat all information you share with us — including site credentials, business details, and communications — as confidential. We will not share your information with anyone outside our team except as required to deliver your care plan or as required by law.

We ask that you treat any information we share with you about our processes, pricing, or systems with the same confidentiality.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continuing to use your plan after that date means you accept the updated terms.

The most current version of these terms is always available at wpvalet.co/terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where WPValet operates. Any disputes will first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at care@wpvalet.co. We would always rather talk through a problem than escalate it.
