These terms are written in plain English. By subscribing to a WPValet care plan, you agree to these terms. If anything is unclear, just email us — we’d rather explain it than have you confused about what you signed up for.
WPValet provides monthly WordPress care plans for business owners. Depending on the plan you choose (Care, Support, or Partner), your plan includes WordPress, plugin and theme updates, backup monitoring, uptime monitoring, security monitoring and scans, and a monthly maintenance report.
The specific features included in each plan are listed on our pricing section at wpvalet.co. By subscribing, you confirm that you have read and understood what is included in your chosen plan.
Before ongoing monthly service begins, WPValet must review and technically accept the website for the selected plan.
A one-time onboarding and technical baseline fee of $149 applies to standard approved websites. This covers the initial review and technical baseline required to establish ongoing responsibility for the site.
During onboarding, we may identify pre-existing issues, malware, security concerns, legacy custom code, significant compatibility problems, or other conditions that require remediation before ongoing maintenance can safely begin.
Complex websites or websites requiring cleanup, remediation, significant technical work, or additional preparation may require a separate quote before WPValet accepts the site for ongoing service. This may include, but is not limited to, complex WooCommerce or payment systems, membership or user-account functionality, LMS platforms, custom integrations, multilingual configurations, custom themes or plugins, and other high-risk or highly customized environments.
Where remediation is required, WPValet may require that the necessary work be completed and approved before ongoing care begins. WPValet is not required to assume ongoing responsibility for a website that has not passed its technical acceptance requirements.
Monthly billing and service begin once the required onboarding requirements have been completed and the website has been accepted for ongoing service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
To deliver your care plan, we require:
You agree that by sharing these credentials with us, you authorise us to perform the work included in your plan. We will store all credentials securely and will not use your access for any purpose outside of your care plan.
If you are unable to provide the access we need, we reserve the right to pause your plan until access is provided. Billing continues during any such pause.
The amount of support and development work included in your plan depends on the plan you choose:
Included support time may be used for small, straightforward changes and fixes, such as updating text, swapping an image, fixing a broken link, adding a menu item, or making minor CSS adjustments.
Included monthly support hours expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over to a subsequent month. Unused hours do not have a cash value and are not refundable or transferable.
Additional support and development work beyond the included monthly hours is billed at $45/hour, unless a different project quote or rate has been agreed in writing.
Larger requests, new features, custom development, major redesigns, or projects requiring significant planning or technical investigation may be quoted as a separate project rather than billed hourly.
We will let you know when a request falls outside the scope of your included support and will obtain your approval before proceeding with separately quoted work.
Care plans are billed monthly on a recurring basis via Stripe. Your billing date is established when you first subscribe and remains the same each month unless otherwise agreed.
We reserve the right to update our pricing with 30 days’ notice. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before the new price takes effect.
You can cancel your plan at any time — no questions asked, no cancellation fees. To cancel, email us at care@wpvalet.co before your next billing date.
We reserve the right to cancel or suspend your plan if you breach these terms, fail to provide necessary access, fail to maintain required third-party services, or if your website presents a security, legal, or technical risk to our systems or team.
Where WPValet cancels a plan for reasons attributable to WPValet rather than a client breach or site-related risk, any applicable refund will be handled on a prorated basis for the unused portion of the billing period.
WPValet will use reasonable care and professional judgment when performing services under your plan.
Our services may include:
If an update directly applied by WPValet causes a site issue that can reasonably be resolved through restoration or rollback, we will take reasonable steps to restore the site using the available backup or recovery process.
We will notify you of significant security or technical issues identified during our regular checks and advise when additional work or remediation is recommended.
Each plan has a target response time:
These response times refer to acknowledgement and initial triage, not guaranteed resolution times.
The time required to resolve an issue may depend on its complexity, third-party systems, hosting providers, plugin or theme developers, access availability, client approvals, and other factors outside WPValet’s reasonable control.
Emergencies, third-party outages, major compatibility issues, complex development, security incidents, and other high-risk work may require separate estimates, project scopes, or timelines.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, the target response times do not constitute a guaranteed uptime, resolution time, or service-level agreement.
WPValet’s monthly plans are intended for ongoing maintenance and support of websites that meet our technical acceptance requirements. The following are not automatically included in a monthly plan and may require separate remediation, project work, or a custom quote:
WPValet will communicate when an issue falls outside the normal scope of the selected plan and, where appropriate, provide a separate estimate or project quote before proceeding.
Unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing, the client remains responsible for purchasing, maintaining, and paying for:
WPValet may assist with managing, configuring, updating, or troubleshooting these services where that work falls within the client’s plan or has otherwise been approved.
WPValet is not responsible for the availability, pricing, licensing, security, functionality, or continued operation of third-party services.
The client remains the owner or account holder of these services unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
There are circumstances outside WPValet’s reasonable control, including:
If you or another party makes changes to the website outside WPValet’s care plan that cause an issue, WPValet may assist with resolving the issue, but the time required may be billed separately.
By subscribing to a care plan, you confirm that:
We treat information you share with us — including website credentials, business information, technical information, and communications — as confidential.
We will not knowingly share your confidential information outside our team except where necessary to deliver the agreed services, where required by law, or where disclosure is otherwise authorised by you.
We ask that you treat non-public information we share with you regarding our processes, systems, pricing, and internal operations as confidential.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
Continuing to use your plan after the effective date means you accept the updated terms, subject to any rights you may have under applicable law.
The most current version of these terms is available at wpvalet.co/terms.
These terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where WPValet operates. Any disputes will first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at care@wpvalet.co. We would always rather talk through a problem than escalate it.
WPValet will perform the services with reasonable care and skill. However, no website maintenance service can guarantee that a website will remain continuously available, secure, error-free, or compatible with all third-party software and services.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WPValet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive losses, including loss of revenue, profits, customers, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from website downtime, technical failures, third-party services, or other circumstances outside WPValet’s reasonable control.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WPValet’s aggregate liability arising from or relating to the services will be limited to the fees paid by the client to WPValet during the most recent billing period preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law.
WPValet provides monthly WordPress care plans for business owners. Depending on the plan you choose (Care, Support, or Partner), your plan includes a combination of weekly updates, daily backups, uptime monitoring, security scanning, performance checks, edit requests, and a monthly activity report.
The specific features included in each plan are listed on our pricing page at wpvalet.co. By subscribing, you confirm that you have read and understood what is included in your chosen plan.
Each plan includes a set number of edit requests per billing cycle:
An edit request covers small, straightforward changes — updating text, swapping an image, fixing a broken link, or adding a menu item. Any task estimated to take more than 30 minutes, or involving new features, page redesigns, or custom development, falls outside the scope of an edit request and will be quoted separately before any work begins.
We will always tell you before starting any out-of-scope work and will not proceed without your approval. Unused requests do not roll over to the following month.
Extra requests beyond your monthly quota are available at the rates listed on our pricing page. We will notify you before billing any extra request charges.
Care plans are billed monthly on a recurring basis via Stripe. Your billing date is set when you first subscribe and remains the same each month.
We reserve the right to cancel your plan if you breach these terms, fail to provide necessary access, or if your site poses a security risk to our systems. In such cases, we will notify you by email and issue a prorated refund for the unused portion of your billing period.
We take our work seriously and stand behind it:
There are some things outside our control:
Our total liability to you in any circumstance is limited to the amount you paid us in the most recent billing period.
By subscribing to a care plan, you confirm that:
We treat all information you share with us — including site credentials, business details, and communications — as confidential. We will not share your information with anyone outside our team except as required to deliver your care plan or as required by law.
We ask that you treat any information we share with you about our processes, pricing, or systems with the same confidentiality.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continuing to use your plan after that date means you accept the updated terms.
